If it's a wide-ranging and eclectic group of gatherings you're looking for this weekend, southern Delaware is certainly the place to be over the next few days.

From a bocce ball tournament (yes, I said bocce ball) on the grounds of one of the state's most successful craft breweries, to a barbecue festival at a local speedway to 1,000 people willingly jumping off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry into the waters of the Delaware Bay, this weekend is going to be one to remember.

Throw in a beach day exclusively for senior citizens and a more than 100 mile bike race and locals are going to need to take Monday off from work to recover from the busy weekend.

Join the Oldfather Group's "Jack of all Trades" Adam Linder this evening, Sept. 17, as he offers his talents behind the bar at the Greene Turtle in Rehoboth Beach, all to raise funds for a local man injured in a major motor vehicle accident last month.

Linder, once a professional chef in the Washington, D.C. area, will be tending bar at the coastal eatery from 6 to 8 p.m. The Greene Turtle is located on the famous Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk overlooking the sand and the surf.

Also featuring live music, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction and food and drink specials, proceeds from the evening will be used to help pay the medical bills of Jeff Milcarek, who was seriously injured on Aug. 30 while riding his motorcycle along Rehoboth Avenue.
